CASPER – Republican candidate jeanette Ward earned a key endorsement from incumbent Representative Chuck Gray of Natrona County. Gray, who was elected in 2017, will be vacating the seat to pursue his candidacy for Secretary of State and is backing Ward to be his successor.

“I am proud to be able to offer my full endorsement to a strong candidate like Jeanette Ward,” Gray said.  “I met her at a Campaign for Liberty event back in September and she has been a fierce advocate for the rights of parents, the unborn, and medical freedom. She’s been a key member of Moms for Liberty - Natrona County, and I know she will serve the people of House District 57 well and defend our constitution.”

“It is a great honor to have earned the support of a true patriot and staunch defender of freedom as Chuck Gray. His leadership for Wyoming has been exceptional and I want voters to know that if elected I, like Chuck, will support capping property taxes, will keep the voter ID law he sponsored in place to ensure election integrity, and will oppose attempts by foreign actors to control Wyoming’s energy supply,” Jeanette stated.

Gray believes that Ward will follow a conservative path in the House of Representatives and that her values are Wyoming’s values. “Jeanette is a strong leader for the future who shares my values and will be both conservative and independent and I look forward to working alongside her for the betterment of Wyoming.”

Ward was born in Pennsylvania and is the first woman in her family to earn a 4-year degree - a B.S. in Environmental Resource Management - and later a Masters’ degree in Environmental Chemistry, and an MBA. She served on the largest elected school board in Illinois from 2015-2019, where she fought diligently against the implementation of progressive curriculum guidelines and non-gender based locker room policies, making national news on several occasions.
